What to expect?

What to expect from your acupuncture session?

Firstly, you will be asked to have a seat and fill out a consultation form.

Nat will then ask you questions about your ailment in detail.

She will then look for patterns through observation by checking your tongue, pulse, nails and skin and by asking questions about your sleep, bowel movement, diet and menstrual cycle (if you are female).

Nat will then choose points specific to your symptoms and will insert very fine needles into these specific points. Patients often say they feel warmth, heaviness and a subtle tingling when the needles are in. Patients describe the experience as relaxing and calming.

What to wear?

Recommended attire for acupuncture is loose, comfortable clothing but it is not essential. Please make sure that you don’t arrive for acupuncture on an empty stomach, especially if it is your first treatment.

How long will it last?

The first session will last approximately 75 minutes. This will involve a consultation at the beginning, followed by acupuncture. Any follow up sessions will last approximately 60 minutes.

How many sessions will I need?

A course of acupuncture is normally advised to ensure that the ailment does not persist. A course is generally around 6 sessions but if this is the therapy for you, you will see changes very early on.

How much will it cost?

£45 for consultation and acupuncture
£40 for follow up sessions
